Inlays and Onlays

When a tooth is damaged by decay or injury, but not severely enough to require a full crown, inlays and onlays offer a perfect solution. These are “indirect” fillings that are custom-made outside the mouth and then bonded to the tooth.

An inlay fits neatly within the contours of a tooth, while an onlay extends to cover one or more of the tooth’s cusps. Both treatments restore the tooth’s strength and appearance, with the procedure for placement being the same for either option.
